Mission Hills Country Club Village (Mission Hills) is an anomaly for being in an urban area located less than 30 miles from Chicago's famed Michigan Avenue, State Street (think lyrics that Frank Sinatra crooned "State Street, That Great Street") and Magnificent lakefront with its museums, Millennium Park, Art Institute, Navy Pier and McCormick Place.

Mission Hills is a gated golf course community of 10 midrise buildings with 650 condominiums and 131 townhomes situated throughout the 130 acres of Mission Hills Country Club's championship golf course. Mission Hills circular road, with its dedicated lane for walkers, joggers and bikers winds thru the complex with a majority of the Mission Hills residences having full or partial golf course views.

Mission Hills Country Club is a public golf club offering golf and social memberships.

Mission Hills' location is ideally suited for many modes of transportation. O'Hare Airport is less than 20 minutes from Mission Hills via I-294, Metra Rail station is less than 10 minutes with the trip downtown as short as 42 minutes on up depending upon traffic.

Mission Hills conveys the luxurious feel that one experiences living in a Gated Community in the southern or western sections of the United States. The Mission Hills gate house provides a sense of security seeing that a Mission Hills security officer is there 24/7 to serve all the residents' needs from security to emergency services.

Mission Hills condominiums have over 20 different floor plans for the 10 elevator buildings in addition to the townhomes. Every condominium has at least one indoor garage space (some have 2), an in-unit laundry and at least one balcony. Each condominium building has a security door system with entry codes for each unit. This is in addition to the personal notification by phone of guests who arrive at the gate house. Each townhome has one detached garage and some have 2.

Mission Hills is a hospitable family environment that encourages guests, children and grandchildren to come visit and perhaps enjoy any one of the six outdoor in-ground swimming pools.

Mission Hills taxes are quite reasonable and the monthly association fee for the condominiums includes expansive basic cable, heat and water in addition to typical services found in other condominium complexes. Townhouses pay for their own heat and water; whereas expanded basic cable is included in their monthly association fee.

Rental/Leasing condominium of residence units is determined by each buildings association: whereas, townhomes do not have rental restrictions. Pets are NOT permitted in the condominium buildings by RESIDENTS or their GUESTS. However, they are welcome in the townhouses.

After having listed, sold and encouraged buyers to purchase condominiums in Mission Hills because of its vibrant, versatile, and extraordinary diverse community, I knew that Mission Hills would be the perfect place for my wife Lila and I to live after selling our single family home of 44 years in Wilmette and moving to Mission Hills in June 2007.
